TOMS Legacy; From 1988 to Today
A Tradition of Technical Brilliance Founded in 1988 as the Visveswaraya Institute of Engineering Technology (VIET) in Kottayam, our journey has been defined by a relentless pursuit of academic rigor. Over the decades, we have evolved from a premier coaching centre for AMIE into a top-tier engineering institution affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).
- 1988: Establishment of VIET (Visveswaraya Institute of Engineering Technology)
- 2007: Entered the Limca Book of Records for the highest number of All India Ranks in AMIE.
- 2011: Secured DGCA approval, marking its entry into regulated aviation technical training.
- 2012: Established the Visveswaraya Institute of Aviation (VIA).
- 2014: A major turning point—the establishment of TOMS College of Engineering. It launched with AICTE approval and MG University affiliation, transitioning the group into a formal B-Tech provider.
- 2016: Ranked as the 2nd private engineering college in Kerala.
- 2018: Expanded into vocational training (Polytechnic College) with Diploma courses in Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Automobile, Cyber Forensics, Electrical and Electronics and Mechanical Engineering.
- 2020: Maintained its reputation by ranking 2nd among private colleges under the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) results.
- 2023: Proudly Accredited by NAAC, cementing our commitment to quality.
- 2024: Started Toms Arts and Science College affiliated with MG University Kottayam and Approved by AICTE NewDelhi.
- 2026: It is impressive to see the institution scaling up its placement targets to a full 100% initiative for the 2026 batch.
