Admission Procedure

The following Polytechnic Diploma courses are offered at TOMS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING.

There are 60 seats available per course (30 in management quota and 30 in Govt. quota)

Eligibility

Management Quota
Qualification : Candidates must have passed SSLC / THSLC or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Kerala.
Age: Applicants must have completed 16 years of age at the time of admission.
Candidates who have successfully passed SSLC / THSLC or equivalent are eligible to apply.
Lateral Entry: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Examination (+2) in Science stream / ITI / VHSC or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.

Govt. Quota
50% of the total seats are reserved under the Government Quota.
Admissions will be allotted by the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Kerala, as per prevailing rules and regulations.

How to Apply:
Application can be obtained online in the college website. Alternatively the application form can be downloaded from here. And the hard copy of the filled application form and a Demand Draft of Rs. 650/- favouring TOMS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING . payable at Mattakara to be sent through Post/ Courier to the College office.

Selection Procedure
The final selection of the applicant will be based on their composite score prepared by TOMS College which considers assessment from different dimensions, including the following:

Past Academic Scores [Class X,XI and XII ] (Weightage:25%)
Index Score (Weightage: 35%)
Written Scholarship Test ( Weightage:10%)
Group Discussions and Personal Interview (Weightage:30%)

Documents in original to be submitted at the time of admission

SSLC Book / Equivalent Certificate
Transfer Certificate from institution last studied
Course & Conduct Certificate from institution last studied
Original certificate to prove reservation claims or mark relaxations claims, if any
Migration certificate(CBSE/ICSE/etc)
Eligibility Certificate (in case of plus two from other state board)
Two recent passport size colour photographs
