Principal’s Message

The tremendous recent changes in the world order present both challenges and opportunities to the engineering education. The arena of engineering is changing with the globalization of manufacturing, research and development. New interdisciplinary fields have come to life and traditional engineering is increasingly influenced by Information technology. Employment focus currently shifts to smaller entrepreneurial firms often located in far flung areas. More and more engineering programs strive to include entrepreneurship and innovation, in the engineering curriculum. Toms College of Engineering also plans to inculcate the idea of entrepreneurship to the mindset of the students along with the normal curriculum of the engineering degree program, thus adding value to their student life.

Toms College of Engineering for Starups aims at teaching entrepreneurship to the budding engineers leading to the creation of as much start-ups as possible. Science and Technology based new ventures will constitute an important factor for the economic development efforts of the nation. As we strive for excellence in what we do, the Institute is constantly making endeavors to scale new heights by developing synergy between academic knowledge and technical skill set in line with industry needs, high moral values and sensitivity to the environment and the nation. We will help you to empower yourself with the wings of knowledge and power of innovation leading to an attitude akin to a positive and proactive thinking, caring concern for humans and nature and above all, an eagerness to serve and excel in your chosen domain of activity throughout your life.

I wish you a very happy and academically highly rewarding student life in TOMS College and hope that your good deeds will enhance the pride and prestige of this Institution.

Thanking you,
Joby Joseph AMIE, M Tech.
