Welcome to the website of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in TOMS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING. The Department seeks to combine excellence in education and research with service to the industry. 

Our vision is to be recognized as an innovative and leading Mechanical Engineering Department in the Kerala and beyond. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. The Department offers Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program was substantially accredited by AICTE in 2014.

We produce graduates to become future leaders for industry, academia, government and society in the whole world, whose vision is founded upon fundamental knowledge, creative and analytical skills, local/regional perspective and ethics. Through a nice blend of course work and projects, the department endows students with the ability to apply knowledge of science, mathematics and engineering to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, provide leadership and technical expertise, and practice engineering with ethical approaches and concern for society and environment.

This website is intended to introduce TOMS Mechanical Engineering Department and provide information about degree plans, faculty, laboratories and facilities, and the research and consultancy activities of the faculty members. We hope that you will visiting our website.

The faculty members are very active in teaching, research and service. The faculty of the Department covers a wide range of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering areas such as: Aerospace & Design, Thermo-Fluids & Processes, Materials & Manufacturing, Production Planning & Control, Automation etc.
