1988– Visveswaraya Institute of Engineering Technology (VIET) was established in Kottayam. 1996– VIET was progressively shifted to Mattakara, district of Kottayam in Kerala
1998– Got the first achievable- all India Rank and GATE Scores
2000– Newly furbished college building was being remarked at Mattakara
2003– 2004 Girls and Boys Hostels were inaugurated for the first time
2011— Received an approval from DGCA and led to the purchase of Aircraft
2012– A remarkable year to see the formation of Visveswaraya Institute of Aviation (VIA)
2014– TOMS College of Engineering (B-TECH) finally approved by AICTE and got officially affiliated to MG University Govt. of Kerala. Moreover, got ranked 14th in MG University.
2016– Ranked 2 among all Private Engineering Colleges. Also ranked 10 in APJ Abdul Kalam Technology University
2020– Honoured to have an approval for Polytechnic Diploma in Automobile, Electrical and Electronics from AICTE and Department of Technical Education (DTE) Govt. Of Kerala

There had been almost 1921 Engineering Graduates at the time of TOMS College just being in initial years of development which is remarkable till date.

TOMS received an overall 185 All India Ranks during the beginning years of just being a developing infrastructure.

Not to forget, there had been a good jump start progress with more than 600 GATE scorers from TOMS College of Engineering.

118 got admission for higher studies IITs and NITs.
TOMS has been listed in the “LIMCA BOOK of RECORDS” in 2007. One of the biggest achievements throughout life!!

In the initial years of inaugurating TOMS as an affiliated college, 200 + Alumni have been working as Professors and Assistant Professors in various deemed institutes and universities.
