Anjali P is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Toms College, Mattakara, Kottayam, with academic training and practical experience in clinical, developmental, and educational psychology. She completed her B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Kerala and M.Sc. in Psychology from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. She has also completed the Student Psychology certification course through SWAYAM, strengthening her academic and professional foundation.
She served as a Psychologist Trainee at the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC), Kollam, under the National Health Mission, where she gained practical experience in developmental assessment, child intervention, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation. She also worked as a Mentor in the Five-Day Intensive Skill Enhancement Group Therapy Programme for children with academic difficulties at Mar Sleeva Medicity, Palai.
Her professional exposure includes child intervention, group therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), counselling, psychoeducation, social skills training, and multidisciplinary collaboration. These experiences have strengthened her practical understanding of child psychology, behavioural interventions, and evidence-based counselling practices.
Her academic interests include Developmental Psychology, Child Intervention, Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Approaches, Positive Mental Health, and Organizational Psychology. She has served as a Resource Person for mental health awareness and psychoeducational programmes conducted in schools, colleges, and community organizations.
She has actively participated in several professional training programmes focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotional Intelligence, demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional learning and psychological practice.
Her research interests focus on Emotional Intelligence and Psychosexual Harassment among IT Professionals, as well as Job Engagement, Burnout, and Self-Perceived Success among Bank Employees. She has also published a research paper titled “The Influence of Social Connectedness on Prosocial Behavior among Young Adults” in the International Research Journal on Advanced Engineering and Management (IRJAEM).
